TREASURE ON THE RUN documentary film
Treasures on the Run tells a gripping story of the evacuation of Polish National Treasures during World War II from Poland to Canada.
This nail-biting account re-traces the journey of the Wawel treasures across Europe, against all odds, trying to stay one step ahead of the Nazi pursuers. The drama continues in Canada with a backdrop of Cold War hostilities, following two decades of political intrigue and rising international tensions.
It is also a story of one man’s personal sacrifices, in order to protect the treasure, choosing his country’s valuable artifacts over his family or his reputation.
